Large public spaces are an excellent application for Price UFAD because these sytems improve indoor air quality and result in energy savings.
Many large public spaces, notably religious buildings, arenas, shopping centers, casinos, and theatres have high ceilings that waste energy with overhead mixing ventilation.
UFAD systems employ a stratification technique whereby the system conditions only that air which is in the occupied zone. The resulting energy cost savings is substantial in
environments where the ceilings exceed 10 feet.
Stratification also results in improved indoor air quality, as contaminants are isolated near the ceiling and away from the occupied area. This is of particular benefit in casinos
and restaurants where odors and tobacco smoke are removed from the occupied area resulting in more comfortable environment.
