Some all-air technologies use variable air volume or cycle fans as part of the control of the cooling and heating capacity to the space. As these systems modulate, the amount of ventilation
air being supplied to the space is also modulated, often reducing the amount of ventilation air provided to below the code or desired requirement.
Beams can reduce the total air volume requirement to a space, allowing the system to use 100% outside air to provide the additional ventilation needed. This reduces
the amount of re-circulated air in the space, thereby improving indoor air quality.
