Price CMX silencers are designed for
medium velocity applications. This medium
velocity configuration provides high levels
of insertion loss across the full range of
frequencies, and the sleek curved inlet and
outlet of the center pod reduce turbulence
and allows for static regain for improved
pressure drop. This configuration is best
suited for applications with velocities of
4000 fpm or less.
CHX Silencers
Price CHX silencers are designed for high
velocity applications. This high velocity
configuration has no parts that enter the air
stream to constrict the airflow. The design
minimizes the pressure drop that can occur
at higher velocities while still providing high
levels of insertion loss across the full rang of
frequencies. The Price CHX Silencer model
is best suited for applications where low
pressure drops are the priority or high air
velocities can not be avoided. |

PRICE Absorptive Circular Extended
Casing Silencers are designed to provide a practical solution for controlling duct noise in circular ductwork systems where high insertion loss is required at lower frequencies. This is accomplished by extending the outer shell to hold additional acoustic media without requiring changes to the sleek internal geometry utilized in the standard circular silencers. The design ensures maximum acoustical performance while minimizing system pressure drops at duct velocities as high as 8000 fpm. Our available standard sizes offer excellent flexibility to ductwork designs, and because we do not limit our cataloged silencer offering to certain sizes, we have the ability to build each silencer to suit the ductwork and, in turn, the application. |
