Linear Passive Beam PCBL
The Price Linear Passive Beam, PCBL, is a
cooling-only product that does not require
external supply air. The cooling effect is
created by natural convection and a cooling
coil in the unit. The warm return air rises
and contacts the cooling coil, which creates
a downward air flow that pulls the return air
across the cooling coil and provides cooling
capacity.
The PCBL is available in 12" [300mm], 18"
[450mm], and 24" [600mm] widths and
lengths up to 10' [3m] long in 1' [300mm]
increments. The standard 10" [250mm]
exterior skirt surrounding the coil provides
a stack effect and increases the air flow
across the coil. The PCBL is designed to
fit into standard suspended ceilings and
can be installed above perforated tiles for
a concealed appearance.
The compact design of the PCBL is ideal for
for short ceiling plenum heights or minimal
clearance requirements for exposed
installations. The units should be installed
away from fixed occupant positions as the
units have a supply air stream directly below
the unit. Passive beams should be placed in
aisles and along the perimeter of the space
to avoid draft complaints.
