General Information
Price Genesis® 'Q' series Fan Powered Terminals are designed to take advantage of silencer acoustical properties producing an extremely quiet unit while maintaining all the Price Genesis® standard features. (Refer to Price Genesis® catalog for all standard features and benefits associated to the fan powered unit.)
The entry section of the discharge silencer is custom designed, directly coupled, mating perfectly with the Genesis® terminal. The Q silencer is designed to be aerodynamically compatible with the fan discharge velocity profile. Thereby it dramatically reduces the discharge noise, without compromising the overall pressure drop and capacity of the Genesis® unit. The unique internal geometry of the discharge silencer further reduces fan noise by limiting line of sight. Noise reduction is so effective that typically no downstream insulation is required to achieve room noise levels below NC 35.
The inlet attenuator section of the Q Series Genesis® terminal has been enhanced to further reduce already low radiated noise levels of this unit.
The complete fan terminal/ silencer assembly has been tested and certified in accordance with AHRI Standard 880. The discharge and radiated sound data presented in the catalog is based on complete assemblies tested in the Price lab. No calculations or system effect assumptions are required to determine silencer performance.
Price Genesis® 'Q' Terminals units are supplied with the latest motor technology: ECM -- Electronically Commutated Motor. The ECM motor is a brushless DC motor design with a built in inverter and a microprocessor based motor controller. The ECM motor has several features which make it superior to conventional electric motors:

Each ECM motor supplied with the Genesis Terminal is factory preset with the Price ENERSAVE™ operating program. The ENERSAVE™ program has been developed to provide consistent, repeatable fan volume and optimal energy efficiency.

Each Price fan powered terminal unit receives a full operational check before shipment and arrives factory calibrated in accordance to project specifications. This means costly setup delays are avoided.
Units are ETL certified to meet UL 1995 and CSA C22.2 No. 236.
Price Genesis® Terminals are specifically designed to attenuate radiated noise which
is a major concern with fan powered terminals, particularly at high
capacities. An acoustical return air inlet section and thick acoustic
insulation reduces radiated noise levels in the room by as much as
10 NC below conventional fan powered terminals. |
