Application
Price HCF Series diffusers are designed to
produce a low velocity, multi-directional air
pattern while maintaining the appearance
of a conventional "flush face" perforated
diffuser. The semi-cylindrical air pattern and
low noise level of the HCF allow for selection
at higher air volumes than conventional
diffusers, making it suitable for medical
facilities and kitchens. Its flush ceiling
design makes it architecturally flexible,
matching the appearance of standard
perforated diffusers.
Performance
Due to the multi-directional nature of the
air pattern produced by the HCF, the throw
data is presented in terms of both vertical
throw and spread. When applying HCF
diffusers they should be selected so that
both the spread and vertical throw values
fall within the physical constraints of the
space to avoid excess velocity at fume
hoods, work stations or the occupied zone.
If design air volumes result in spread and
throw values which exceed requirements,
the model FRFD should be considered.
Construction/Finish
- Aluminum plenum, extruded aluminum
frame, aluminum perforated face (51%
free area) and steel pattern controllers.
- Plenum, frame and face are finished in
B12, white powder coat.
- Face assembly is mounted to the plenum
with quarter-turn quick-release fasteners
to facilitate easy access for cleaning.
- Provided with nylon safety cables
to prevent the face assembly from
accidentally falling during removal.
- Optional neck-mounted volume control
damper is fabricated of coated steel with
nickel-plated operators and finished in
the same B12 white powder coat paint.
- Suitable for use in either T-bar or surface
mount applications.
